Mini-wood workers with Rafael Lollato – Parent’s Model Workshops

Today was the second of our model workshops with wood worker and cabinet maker, Rafael Lollato (A.K.A. Oliver’s dad)! He showed the ecstatic Year 2 children what his strengths were, showed all the tools he uses on a daily basis, and even made a fun video with all the gigantic power tools he uses that are too heavy to bring to school.

At the end, the kids got to try out the intimidating power tools, one at a time of course, and hammer nails so they could feel how it is to manipulate wood, and on the way, create a personalized letter exchange rack. What a great idea!

Rafael also brought a project idea to the kids to see how they would feel about him creating someTHING for the school community. All were in favor, and with the avow of the children, he went back to his studio and on delivery day, we will share with the community his beautiful idea and contribution. So, stay tuned!

Thank you so much for your hands-on workshop Rafael Lollato, we all learned a lot!
